Q: What is a Lifestyle Session?
A: Lifestyle sessions are sessions designed to more accurately tell your story than a typical portrait session. Lifestyle sessions are typically guided or directed versus posed, though I’m are more than happy to capture a few posed photos for you too! For instance, when directing a shot, I may say “Hey, can you go cuddle on the sofa? Just sit naturally, be comfortable together. Great!” I recommend for any Lifestyle Session to include personal items which help tell your story or encompass something you enjoy. Lifestyle sessions are booked for a 2-hour minimum as to enable me to capture more of your story.
For example, Senior Lifestyle sessions can take place where they spend most of their days- on the football field, on a theater stage, or wherever! Or they can take place in pretty places and capture candid, lovely moments between your senior and their surroundings. Gather up your seniors best friends for a couple snaps of them goofing off! Don’t worry, your senior would still remain the focus of the photos!
Q: Where are you located?
A:My office is in Fox Lake, Illinois. My sessions take place on location, and that can be somewhere such as a beautiful park or even in your home! However, this is the meeting place for our View and Order Sessions! Just type Janelle Yeager Photography into your phone’s GPS, and viola- you’ll find me!
Q:What is a ‘View and Order Session’?
A: The View and Order is just that- a 2 Hour session during a time we mutually agree on for you to A)View and B)Order from your session. Orders must be completed at this time, so I recommend measuring your empty walls to get an idea of space. Simply tape a piece of printer paper to your wall and email a photo of it to [email protected] I can have a visual gallery wall built for you to view during your session! Additionally, be sure to have a count in your head for how many gift prints you’ll be needing for Grandma and Aunty! Know what sizes they prefer as well to keep everything flowing smoothly during the View and Order.
Q: What’s are some ideas for a Lifestyle Session?
A: A Lifestyle Session is a two-hour minimum session which documents something happening. What special moments are happening soon, or even happen day to day? Some really cute ideas I think are adorable to capture include picking and carving pumpkins, decorating for Christmas, picking out the tree, first birthdays, sleepovers with grandparents, first carnivals, dress up, learning to catch a ball, moving into your first home, etc!
Q: What is a Birth Story?
A: The beautiful story of your baby’s birth! This takes place wherever you are giving birth, and documents your baby’s first moments with his or her loving family! These are absolutely beautiful session and I love telling them! Twenty years down the road, these will still be your favorite photographs ever!
Q: Will we get the copyrights to our photos after our wedding?
A: You will receive a digital download link and print release with your gallery. You are free to have prints, albums, and wall art made at anytime with your print release. Copyright remains with Janelle Yeager Photography.
Q: Do we receive unedited, RAW files?
A: No, all images are edited by Janelle Yeager Photography to enhance their beauty and carry the style of Janelle Yeager Photography.
Q: Do we receive every image from our session?
A: You see the best images! Any blinks, blurry images, or duplicates are deleted and are not viewed.
Q: How long will it take to receive our wedding images?
A: We provide your wedding portraits to you just one month after your ceremony! We do strive to complete them earlier, if possible.
Q: Do I have to order prints through you?
A: Once you have purchased the digital files, you are free to print from anywhere. However, I do strongly recommend using a professional print vendor such as mPix.com to maintain proper print tones. If you choose to place a print order through a third party, I cannot guarantee the results.
